Fr Marius led the group through the story of Lourdes and St. Bernadette. Sheila spoke on what it means to serve as a youth helper on the pilgrimage and what their involvement will mean.

On Sunday, May 25, the Polish Chaplaincy in the Diocese of Cork and Ross celebrated its 20th anniversary

The official structures of the Polish chaplaincy in the diocese began to take shape in November 2005. At that time, in response to the large number of Poles arriving in Ireland for work following Poland’s accession to the European Union, the then-bishop of Cork and Ross, John Buckley, decided that the Polish chaplaincy would be based at St. Augustine’s Church in the city center and appointed Fr. Piotr Galus from Tarnów as chaplain to the Polish community.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Polish chaplaincy has been relocated to Holy Cross Church in Mahon.

What a joyful and grace-filled day for the Brazilian Catholic Community in Cork! Bishop Fintan Gavin celebrated Mass with the growing community.

Bishop Fintan Gavin to celebrated Mass with the community at Holy Trinity Church last weekend and was  accompanied by Lorraine Buckley, Faith Development Coordinator. Their presence brought a deep sense of unity, encouragement, and spiritual strength to all present.

The Mass was very special and beautifully organised by the Brazilian community with great care and dedication. From the liturgy to the welcoming atmosphere, everything reflected the love and commitment of the members. The music during the celebration was truly amazing—inspiring, joyful, and uplifting. It touched hearts and helped make the experience even more meaningful for everyone present.
